Welcome to The Custom Atelier! I’m thrilled to have you here. My name is Emily, and I’m the founder and creative mind behind this unique customisation experience.
The idea for The Custom Atelier came to life through a combination of personal experiences and a passion for both sports and creativity. As a mum of two boys, I witnessed first-hand the frustration of constantly losing balls at school and training sessions. It seemed like an endless cycle of replacing generic balls that lacked personality and scribbling a name on them with permanent marker which would inevitably wear off in a few days.
Determined to solve this problem, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I customised two basketballs for my children, bringing them along for the ride. We incorporated their favourite colours, they picked their fonts and I plastered their names in permanent bold lettering. It was a game-changer! Not only did the personalised balls become instantly recognisable, but my boys also developed a stronger sense of ownership and responsibility. They took better care of their balls because they felt a deep connection and pride in having something uniquely theirs.
Word quickly spread when friends and family saw the custom basketballs we had created. They were amazed by the idea and began requesting personalised balls for their own children, teams, and businesses.
That’s how The Custom Atelier was born. I wanted to provide a platform for individuals, coaches, and parents to design and create their own personalised goods. It became my mission to offer a wide range of options; allowing each customer to choose the ball type, font, colours, and text, and bring their vision to life.
